Dua of Nabi Yusuf (as)

Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, has mentioned about a certain person and we all know his story. Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, gave him power, fair looks and features, patience, and all of those things that everyone dreams of having. Sayiddinah Nabi Yusuf (as). And with all that he had been given, even then his supplication to Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He as related in the Qur’an was:

۞ رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ [١٢:١٠١]

“O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous.”

This is the best supplication if you want to have enough in your life for your satisfaction. What hope and belief that Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, will come to your aid. Recite this supplication always.

And when you recite this supplication be sure to remember to imagine Sayiddinah Yusuf (as). He was controlling Egypt. A most powerful country at that time. And he had been weak and in jail. Subhannallah – from jail to power. That is how Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He, works. And he was a prophet, and the son of a prophet – Sayiddinah Yaqub (as). And the grandson of a prophet – Sayiddinah Ibrahim (as). The generous one. When thay asked Rasulullah (saw) who was the generous one he replied Sayiddinah Yusuf (as). Imagine that with all that he had, he still recited this supplication. Worldly power is one thing, but, how to pray to Allah, Almighty and Glorious is He.
